Friends,

Yesterday, with our friends at Californians Against Fracking, I helped deliver over 100,000 comments from Californians across the state demanding that Governor Brown and the Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR) ban fracking in California now.

With overwhelming support from organizations across the country and state we delivered our message straight to DOGGR’s offices.

This isn’t the last step though. We have a big battle ahead of us that we know we can win. Fracking in California isn’t just bad for our water and air, it’s bad for the climate too. If the droughts in California this year are any indicator, we need to do everything we can to stop this dirty practice of extracting oil and transition to clean energy.

In one week, we’ll be joining hundreds of folks again in Sacramento to make sure Governor Brown hears our message at the State of the State. On January 22nd, we’ll be meeting in the capitol to let our legislators and Jerry Brown know, we will not stand for any new fracking in California. If you can join us at the capitol for Gov. Brown’s State of the State, click here: act.350.org/signup/SOSCalifornia/

Many thanks for all your help in this tough fight — I’ll be in touch again soon with more.
